What is UNGA?
The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is the UN’s main policy-making convention. The 80th session will be held during the month of September 2025 in New York. UNGA 80 will be a unique forum to discuss major international issues under the United Nations Charter. With the theme Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights, it comes at a crucial time to renew global commitment to working together, showing solidarity, and taking action for people and the planet.

UNGA and SDGs
The 80th session of UNGA will be a key moment to push for global action on the Sustainable Development Goals. During high-level week, world leaders will gather for the Summit of the Future and sign a new pact to reaffirm their commitment to achieving the SDGs and strengthening international cooperation.
