UN General Assembly

What is UNGA?

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is the UN’s main policy-making convention. The 80th session was held in New York during the month of September 2025. With 193 Member States, UNGA 80 serves as a unique forum for discussing a wide range of international issues under the United Nations Charter.

UNGA is not just about world leaders. It’s also a platform for the public – and public figures. Goodwill ambassadors, K-pop singers, young advocates and more all gather to New York to join the UN and advocate for the causes they care about — from gender equality to climate, prosperity for all and innovation.
