Orders and Shipping
What is the status of my order?
To check your order status, click here and log into your UNDP Shop account. Please note that, for regular and in stock items, it usually takes 3-5 business days for your order to ship. You can find more information about our Shipping & Returns Policy here. If you have questions or need assistance, email us here.
Can I edit/cancel my order, or change my shipping address?
If you need to make changes to your existing order, including a change of address or a cancellation request, please contact shop@undp.org immediately. Don't forget to include your order number and any other necessary details in your email.
Order cancellations are not guaranteed. Depending on how far along your order is, we may not be able to make the update in time. We will notify you by email as soon as possible to confirm if the change could be completed. Any requested changes will impact the entire order.
Important: individual items in your order cannot be edited, added on, or cancelled. Once an order has been fulfilled and shipped, we cannot edit the shipping address.
In what currency are your prices?
The UNDP Shop displays and collects payments only in US dollars (USD).
How can I pay?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit and debit cards. You can also pay via Google Pay and Shop App Pay.
Where is my order? Where can I find tracking information?
You can track your order and estimated delivery date using the shipping confirmation email you will receive once your order leaves our warehouse. If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder or your clutter folder.
To get more information on the estimated time of delivery, you can also use the tracking number provided in your order history when you log into your UNDP Shop account.
Why is my order not being delivered in the estimated time?
Shipping services and shipping estimates for all orders placed on the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Shop are provided by our two current carriers of choice: USPS (for domestic US orders) and DHL (for international orders). Both USPS and DHL advised some customers may experience delays due to COVID-19 safety protocols as well as for other issues, including weather-related. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! Subscribing to our newsletter will grant each customer a coupon to get 10% off on their first order (valid one time only, on one order per customer). Please note that the coupon will only work for the email you used to sign up. Using a different email will generate an error message.
Subscribing to our newsletter is also a good way to receive updates on any other special sale, discount, promotion.
Customs and Duties
What is the UNDP Shop policy for customs and duties?
Customers are responsible for any taxes due.
All necessary duties and taxes for any purchase made on the UNDP Shop are collected after the time of purchase, and before delivery takes place.
UNDP Shop does not calculate and collect the applicable duties and taxes or any other additional fees at checkout. Ultimately, you or your designated consignee as Importer of Record are responsible to pay the applicable duties & taxes and any other import fees to your local customs authorities.
Duties and taxes are determined by each product’s origin, material composition, use and final destination. As we ship and sell from the United States, customers who access and use shop.undp.org website from outside the United States are responsible for complying with their local laws and regulations, including paying for any necessary duties.
When you place an order and select a shipping address outside of the United States, you or your designated consignee are the Importer of Record and as such, are authorizing the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Shop to import the goods to your destination country on your behalf. Furthermore, you agree that UNDP Shop may delegate the obligation to import the goods on your behalf to a subcontractor (e.g. customs broker).
Are customs and duties included for orders shipping outside the US?
We currently do not offer prepaid duties and taxes so kindly note that any shipping outside the US is subject to a customs clearance process and to custom duty fees. Duties and taxes that may get imposed on international orders are non-refundable and we are not able to grant any exemptions at this time.
We are working to find alternative solutions to this and will be sharing updates as soon as available.
Can I refuse to pay the customs and duties I am being charged?
Yes, you can refuse to pay customs duties on international orders. These duties are charged and payable locally, and based on the total value of your purchase.
Customs and duties are subject to local/country customs laws. If you decide to refuse paying customs and/or if you refuse the shipment, your order will be returned to the UNDP Shop. If you decide to refuse your order, email us as soon as possible at shop@undp.org with any relevant detail, and we will process your return accordingly.
Are customs and duties refundable should I return one or more items?
Please note that, should you need to complete a return, handling fees, duties and taxes are non-refundable through UNDP Shop.
Returns and Exchanges
Can I return or exchange products purchased on the UNDP Shop?
At the United Nations Development Programme and UNDP Shop we are deeply committed to reducing our carbon footprint. As part of this, we foster a sustainable approach to buying online, which encourages customers to avoid returning as well as exchanging items as much as possible.
That said, exceptions to this policy may still apply. We still accept returns and/or exchanges within a specific timeframe and upon meeting certain conditions. However, we encourage you to be mindful of the impact these decisions have and help us minimize environmental impact and fight climate change — every little climate-aware action counts!

The product I want is sold out: can I add it to a wish list or pre-order it?
Yes, you can definitely add our products to a wish list, including sold out ones.
On the product page, feel free to click on the ‘Add to wishlist’ heart icon you will find under the ‘Sold out’ button. The system will prompt you to log into your UNDP Shop account to make sure your selection gets duly captured in your profile.
You can also email us at shop@undp.org to ask about restocking times and to make sure we notify you when a product becomes available for sale again. We will address your query within 3-5 business days, and let you know if/when the product may become available again.

Are your products sustainably/ethically produced?
When selecting manufacturers and vendors, we always make sure they meet the highest ethical standard and source materials in a sustainable way.
We take great pride in the United Nations Development Programme’s commitment to the SDGs and are working hard to ensure the products we sell on UNDP Shop have a sustainable supply chain, support fair trade and ethical sourcing, and ensure respect for human rights.
Some of the merchandise we sell, like our Climate Action collection, helps protect the environment, by reducing waste and single-use plastic. While our Humanium Metal collection, reuses metal derived by confiscated firearms as part of a larger initiative that focuses on SDG16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).

Where do you produce the products you sell?
Our products are manufactured globally!
We are currently improving our production pipeline, towards even greener and more sustainable practices. We always scout for new vendors and try to identify local suppliers whenever we receive a large bulk order request or corporate order to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. We've also started including the country of origin in product descriptions, to help customers learn more about our supply chain.

I work for a UN agency, how can I make a bulk order for my team?
UNDP and UN colleagues can get in touch with us to place bulk orders for their office, team, event. UN personnel can also benefit from a special discount when making personal purchases. More information, including on discounts, is available on the UNDP and UN Staff Orders page.
Do you offer special discounts for large orders?
Yes, we do! Depending on the size of your bulk order, you may qualify for a discount up to 20%.
Input your request and add all necessary information including product names, quantities, and your ZIP code for shipping in the form at the bottom of the Corporate and Bulk Orders page. Our customer service team will come back within 3-5 days with feedback.
Please note shipping cost is always excluded from discounts as we rely on third party service providers (USPS for domestic and DHL for international).
What type of payments do you accept for corporate, bulk and/or wholesale orders?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit or debit cards. We also accept payment by wire transfer for orders above USD$1,000. More information on payment will be provided to you by one of our customer service representatives when initiating your order.
How long does it take for a bulk order to be completed?
We try to limit our environmental impact as much as possible and produce some items only on-demand, to avoid waste. We also try to source local vendors, to reduce the carbon footprint and emissions that are tied to shipping large orders internationally. Because of this, our stock of certain products may be limited.
Hence, please note that, depending on products and quantities needed, some bulk, corporate and large orders can take up to 10 business days to be fully processed and shipped to you. Please place your order well in advance to avoid any delay.
Can I place a bulk order for items that are out of stock?
If a product you’d like to bulk order is out of stock on our website or only available for pre-order, feel free to still let us know of your interest in your email. We consider each bulk order on a case-by-case basis and may be able to accommodate your request. Please input your request via the form you’ll find at the bottom of our Corporate and Bulk Orders page. Our customer service team will be able to assist you.
What kind of customization do you offer?
Customization requests are permitted on a case-by-case basis including for the SDG lapel pin. Customization depends on a variety of factors including order size, design specifications, and timeline. To inquiry about customization, please fill the form at the bottom of the Corporate and Bulk Orders page.
How much lead time do I need for my customized orders?
Corporate gifts and bulk (or wholesale) orders that require customization should be placed with a minimum lead time of 6-8 weeks. Are orders being affected by COVID-19?
COVID-19 is still affecting supply chains, distribution, and shipping globally. You may therefore experience delays receiving your order from UNDP Shop. If possible, order well in advance of when you need the product/s.
What policies are in place to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus?
The safety and health of our customers, employees, and communities is our top priority, and we are taking responsible measures to help stop the spread of COVID-19 wherever we can. To do our part to protect everyone, UNDP Shop is back to fulfilling orders made online but in a safe, socially distant environment, and in-line with UNDP guidelines.
